Victorian alpine and cross-country ski resort.

THE PROBLEM

We were approached by Tourism North-East to build a custom WordPress plugin for the popular Falls Creek website. The plugin had to integrate with the page builder Beaver Builder.

A solution to display the Falls Creek weather report was an essential requirement for the Ski Resort’s website.

The Solution

We developed a module with three tabs, that when selected would reveal the following:

A display of live snow cameras around Falls Creek.

A display of videos hand picked from the Falls Creek YouTube channel.

A display of social media feeds from Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. An essential feature was the ability to filter which posts appeared from their social media channels. If a user clicks on a social media post, the information would pop up in a larger format.

The user also has the ability to browse older posts.

The Outcome

The weather report and live snow cameras are accessed by millions of visitors during the Victorian ski season. The feedback and success of the module has been overwhelmingly positive.
