THE PROBLEM
The website was dated, slow and difficult to navigate. The Committee for Wyndham wanted their website to attract members, encourage newsletter subscriptions and event registrations.
The current website didn’t allow for podcasts or events to be housed onsite which meant the user had to be taken away from the site.
The Solution
The website required a complete overhaul. Following a discovery session with Barbara and Janine, the team at Launch Digital developed a website structure and design that showcased the many benefits of becoming a Committee member.
The website would allow for podcasts to be showcased and listened to onsite, which is better for brand awareness and user engagement.
Events are great lead generators for the Committee, so we positioned the latest event in the top right corner of the website, above the fold so the visitor doesn’t have to search the website for it.
Also, event registrations all take place on the website, providing a better experience for registrants and better brand recognition for the Committee.
The Outcome
The results after one month of going live with the new website:
There was a 10X increase in newsletter subscribers.
One of those new subscribers became a new member.
There was a 3X increase in new members signing up via the website.
There was a 242% increase in mobile users.
